The Ice World in Dresden

Dresden, as the state capital and the second largest city in the Free State of Saxony, is known worldwide for innovations and cutting-edge technology. As one of the most economically dynamic regions in Germany, it is considered an important traffic hub and major economic center. Every year, large numbers of tourists visit Dresden to discover the city’s beautiful winding streets and alleys. The Dresden Striezelmarkt, Germany’s oldest and most famous Christmas market, is a major attraction in winter. The “Altstadt,” the old city center, houses important historical buildings characterized by their different architectural eras. Also known as the “Florence on the River Elbe,” Dresden offers visitors the opportunity to experience the magnificent Semperoper Operahouse, the Frauenkirche Church and the Residenzschloss Castle.
